One of the Pill boxes on Cayton Bay beach seems to be showing the effects of the recent heavy seas and tides.
Once positioned some 100ft higher on the cliff top, some of the defensive works slid down to the beach following decommissioning and erosion.
They've been on the beach for years, being used by visitors for various things, notably changing rooms and toilets.
However, after some 70 years of withstanding the power of the sea, it appears that this box is now reaching its end.
......might take another 70 years to be fully dismantled though.
